Broadway Actor JAMES STOVALL & FRIENDS present “BUILDING
BRIDGES…with Music!”
On Monday, June 5th at 8:00 pm,
the Uptown Arts Stroll presents “Building Bridges…with Music”
celebrating the power of music to transcend differences and to build cultural
and artistic bridges throughout New York City. A veteran of eight Broadway and
many Off Broadway shows (including leads in RAGTIME, THE ROCKY HORROR
SHOW, ONCE ON THIS ISLAND, THE LIFE, DESSA ROSE, DREAMGIRLS – 20TH
ANNIVERSARY CONCERT) actor/singer JAMES STOVALL invites up and
coming new stars: Titus Burgess
(currently in JERSEY BOYS, was featured in GOOD VIBRATIONS);
newcomer LINZEY JONES; Classical/Jazz artists GRETA HERRON and JOYCE
STOVALL; honored as a special guest will be JOEY CORD (from the 60’s
recording group The Cufflinks, pioneer of public access TV); and, a
special guest star appearance by multiple Award Winner LILLIAS WHITE
(currently starring as “Momma Morton” in CHICAGO on Broadway); also ABBIE
HOLCOMBE & THOS SHIPLEY. The cabaret is a fundraising benefit for the
highly praised entertainment industry service organization, The Actors’ Fund of
America and all proceeds will be donated to this organization. This festive
evening will be hosted by Coogan’s Restaurant at 4015 Broadway at W. 169th
Street (212) 928 – 1234; there will be dinner served at 8:00pm (cash bar and
full menu available) and Showtime will be at 9:00pm. The contribution/cover
